Popular Dota 2 Twitch streamer Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski recently found himself at odds with Entity player Dzmitry “Fishman” Palishchuk over an alleged revelation regarding the Riyadh Masters 2024 prize pool.
During a recent live stream, Fishman hinted at a surprising $45 million USD prize pool for the upcoming Riyadh Masters 2024 event. This sparked controversy, and Gorgc offered sharp criticism.
Expressing disdain for Fishman’s leak, Gorgc openly questioned his credibility and motive.
Fishman’s mention of the hefty prize pool in a Telegram message stirred community discussions. This is especially surprising considering Riyadh Masters 2023 had a noteworthy $15 million USD prize pool. On the other hand, Dota 2’s flagship tournament The International 2023 (TI12) featured far less at $3,380,455 USD prize pool.
During a livestream, Gorgc vented his frustration and questioned the rationale behind such leaks. He pondered why Fishman disclosed sensitive information and highlighted the potential risks to one’s reputation.
“I have things I can leak too, but I don’t leak them because I feel like it would be so stupid to leak them. Right? What do I gain?… Do it? But if I leaked it, guys, I feel like I gain nothing and I only lose my reputation. Doesn’t Fishman feel the same?”

Disputing Fishman’s claim, Gorgc asserted his sources contradicted the notion of a $45 million prize pool. He labeled Fishman’s statements a “lie” and suggested he could “counter-leak” to reveal the actual information.
“I’ll just counter-leak right here and tell you the truth is that this… this is not true. Like, this is actually just not true from what I know. That’s not even true. So what? It’s just a lie.”
Gorgc emphasized his reluctance to engage in such leaks, citing the damage to one’s credibility as a compelling reason to refrain from disclosing unverified information.
Nevertheless, it’s crucial to approach Fishman’s leak and Gorgc’s counter cautiously until there’s official confirmation. The truthfulness of these assertions will only become clear with time.
