The Original OG Line-up Could’ve Been Different
In 2018, team OG secured their championship at Dota 2’s The International. Now it seems that their team could have had a touch of Southeast Asia. N0tail recently confirmed that Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon was in contention to fill the spot that eventually went to Anathan “ana” Pham.
OG’s Roster Rebuild Journey
The end of the 2017 competitive season marked a pivotal moment for OG’s Dota 2 team, requiring a massive rebuild. With ana’s departure creating a void, the team was on the lookout for potential players to bring onboard. 23savage of Talon was one of the top contenders considered for the role.
A Trip Down Memory Lane with N0tail
During a recent Dota 2 hub hosted by N0tail and Gorgc on October 15th, viewers had the chance to delve into some esports history. As they watched Talon Esports lock horns with Gaimin Gladiators, one viewer pointed out 23savage’s missed opportunity with OG and his subsequent decision to remain with T1.
The viewer commented, “23savage could have joined OG, but then he chose to stay in T1, and Kuku kicked him XD”
N0tail positively responded, saying they had indeed contemplated bringing 23savage into the team. However, he felt that they would have still favored ana to return.
“I think we would have still chosen Ana.”

23savage’s Decision to Trust T1’s Growth
Though OG was keen to bring in 23savage, he chose to remain loyal to T1 as he believed in the team’s potential. However, his journey took another turn as he later moved to Talon.
Since his inclusion in the Talon roster, the team has risen to the pinnacle of the SEA scene. They defeated top contenders, with Gaimin being their latest opponent.
Upcoming Clashes at TI 2023
The stakes are high as Talon prepares to face off against Liquid in the upcoming TI 2023 matches next week. With each team eyeing victory, the main stage is set to witness some exciting matchups.
