Paris Saint-Germain’s esports wing has kickstarted a brand new chapter in its Dota 2 journey. This follows closely on the heels of PSG and LGD Gaming’s decision to wrap up their collaborative efforts. The PSG.LGD brand had been in action since 2018.
PSG recently collaborated with the Qatar-based esports powerhouse Quest Esports. The two are set to introduce their joint venture, PSG Quest. Fans can eagerly anticipate this new team’s grand appearance at the upcoming The International.

Spotlight on Quest Esports
Most notably recognized for its dominance in Dota 2, Quest Esports has its roots firmly planted in the Qatar esports community. The organization also offers educational programs for budding esports enthusiasts and content creators. Their impressive list of affiliations includes the Qatar Football Federation, Amazon, Shelter Group, and Dell.
The synergy between PSG and Quest Esports is enhanced by their longstanding ties with Qatar. This relationship dates back to 2011 when the Qatar Sports Investments fund took ownership of the iconic football club.
A Glimpse into the Partnership Blueprint
Though the specifics of the partnership remain under wraps, insiders believe the collaboration will mirror their previous models. This would likely see PSG’s iconic branding and financial backing paired with Quest Gaming’s esports expertise.
Notably, this isn’t the first time that PSG is collaborating. They’ve previously joined forces with powerhouses like Talon Esports for League of Legends and Tundra Esports for Rocket League.
The new Dota 2 squad will be based in Istanbul. The team is set to make the PSG Studio in Boulogne-Billancourt region in Paris as the head office.
A Word from the PSG Frontline
Fabien Allègre, Paris Saint-Germain’s Chief Brand Officer, expressed his enthusiasm:
We are delighted to announce an exciting new Esports adventure for Paris Saint-Germain. It gives us great pride today to be unveiling our Dota 2 team PSG Quest, which will wear the club’s colours with distinction in the biggest gaming competitions.
In the process, the club is continuing to pursue its ambition of breaking into the global Esports elite and to continue entertaining and enthralling non-traditional football audiences.
